Iberia-China Cultural Foundation
About the Foundation
Since its establishment in 2001, the Iberia-China Cultural Foundation in Spain has consistently adhered to the mission of “promoting friendly exchanges between China and Spain and deepening practical bilateral cooperation,” and has been committed to building a vital platform for cultural, economic, and business cooperation between the two nations. As the first foundation established in Spain by the Chinese community, the Foundation has long served as a bridge and link, actively promoting in-depth interaction between China and Spain in areas such as cultural exchange, economic and trade cooperation, educational development, and social integration. It has made significant contributions to fostering people-to-people exchanges and multi-level cooperation between the two nations.
Under the leadership of Chairman Fang Xinmin, the Foundation has remained active in political, business, and cultural circles in both China and Spain, continuously advancing bilateral exchanges and cooperation to new heights. Over the years, the Foundation has organized and participated in numerous national, provincial, and municipal-level economic and trade forums, investment promotion conferences, and high-level business exchange events. It has actively facilitated strategic cooperation and project matching between Chinese and Spanish enterprises, playing a significant role in deepening bilateral economic and trade relations and promoting mutual benefit and win-win outcomes. At the same time, the Foundation has repeatedly hosted and facilitated exchanges with high-level delegations and prominent political and business figures from both China and Spain, establishing a high-level platform for communication and cooperation among government agencies, business organizations, and various sectors of society in both countries, thereby further enhancing the outcomes of exchanges and cooperation between China and Spain in the cultural, economic, and social spheres.
A Message from the Chair
Since its establishment in 2001, the Iberian-Chinese Cultural Foundation in Spain has been in operation for over two decades. As the first foundation established by Chinese expatriates and overseas Chinese in Spain, we have consistently made it our mission to build bridges for cultural exchange between China and Spain, actively promoting in-depth cooperation between the two countries in the fields of culture, commerce, and people-to-people exchanges.
Over the past two decades, we have had the privilege of witnessing and participating in numerous high-level meetings and economic and trade negotiations between China and Spain, which have led to the successful implementation of many practical cooperation projects. These achievements would not have been possible without the trust and support of government agencies, the business community, and friends from all walks of life in both China and Spain. On behalf of the Foundation, I would like to extend our most sincere gratitude to all our friends who have shown their concern and support!
Looking ahead, we will continue to uphold the principles of openness, inclusivity, and mutual learning. Through a diverse range of activities—including cultural and artistic exhibitions, educational exchanges, academic seminars, and training programs for young talent—we aim to allow Chinese culture to flourish on the Iberian Peninsula, while also facilitating a deeper understanding of Spain’s and Europe’s outstanding cultural heritage in China. We look forward to joining hands with partners from all sectors to jointly write a new chapter of mutual learning and win-win cooperation between Chinese and Western civilizations, thereby contributing cultural strength to the building of a harmonious and diverse community with a shared future for mankind.
